Lancaster County Agriculture Week
October 3 @ 8:00 am - October 10 @ 5:00 pm
This week-long celebration sponsored by the Lancaster County Ag Council features several formal events and other more informal ways to find out more about agriculture in Lancaster County. The Ag Council teams up with Central Market on Saturday, October 3, 2020 for the Harvest Breakfast, providing information from agriculture-related organizations and a chance to ask questions of real farmers. The audience changes on Monday, October 5, 2020 with a Farmers’ Breakfast at Binkley & Hurst where various speakers will address the lingering effect of the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Wednesday, October 7, 2020, the highlight of the Week is the Denim and Pearls dinner where the agriculture community and its supporters come together for a night of local food, pleasing entertainment, comments from Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding, and good fellowship.
Opportunities for visits to farms and agriculture-related businesses as well as for volunteering on a stream conservation project are being arranged.
